While they know it’s impossible, Liverpool fans are “clamoring” for a Champions League rematch after it was revealed that goalkeeper Loris Karius had concussion during the match.
Liverpool’s goalkeeper ad a night to forget in Kiev just over a week ago – when he dropped the ball at Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema’s feet and then saw a Gareth Bale strike crash through his hands.
The errors saw fans turn their backs on him…
But having undergone tests in the USA, Dr Ross Zafonte from the Massachusetts General Hospital diagnosed him with concussion.
Karius suffered the blow on the head just before the first goal, by none other than Real’s hurter in chief Sergio Ramos.
The Spaniard popped an elbow out as he tripped past German shot stopper Karius, landing a glancing blow which failed to get the referee’s attention.
Ramos was already in Liverpool supporters’ bad books after helping to injure Reds’ superstar winger Mohamed Salah’s shoulder – forcing him, and his 44 season goals, off before half time.
